The Isle of Wight is an elegant, simple saddle bag. Far from revolutionary, it follows a well-worn path – providing just the right amount of storage behind and below the rider’s seat for tools to make emergency roadside repairs, and perhaps a sandwich or some wearable protection from the rain. Exactly as you would expect from a saddle bag. Once fixed to the bike, the contents can be easily accessed by way of a double-zip enclosure. This allows the rider to reach their essential items without removing the entire bag and having to re-attach it – never an appealing prospect when one’s fingers are numbed from a painstaking change of inner tube on a chilly day. The initial attachment is simple, too. The strap is made from hardwearing hypalon, and fastens beneath the saddle. When properly fixed, it will stay securely in place for many hundreds of miles.
