Natural, Comfortable, Durable. Made for control, matched in style.

Brooks Slender Leather Grips feature vegetable tanned leather tape, a naturally timeless material for long lasting durability and great looks, perfect for straight bar bicycles. The design incorporates an aluminium shell around which the bar tape is wrapped in the manner of traditional handlebar tape. The leather is then held in place by aluminium and steel clamps which can be removed in the event that the tape requires replacement.

Ages beautifully, breathes naturally

Natural materials develop over time for a unique and personal look. The vegetable-tanned leather we use in our handlebar grips is much like the material used for our saddles, although thinner and more pliable. It is beautiful to look at, maturing over time and developing a patina; the physical story of your product’s prior existence. Leather like this is also strong, a vital consideration when making objects to be used by cyclists. It will withstand many miles, many trips to work, many off-the-path diversions The natural breathability of leather provides comfort on every ride, from demanding trips to shorter adventures, ensuring your palms stay fresh.
For grip and control

For grip and control

What cyclist, indeed what human being, does not wish to feel that they are in control, that they have a solid grasp of the situation? It is a natural impulse to strive for mastery of one’s affairs, and to wish to exert a modicum of influence over one’s own path. In life, as with bicycling, control can be hard to come by. But at least in the saddle, we at Brooks England are in a position to help: our handlebar grips are made to give you the reliable handling you need. Brooks handlebar grips are designed for use with flat-barred bicycles. Typically this means all-terrain bikes or mountain bikes, although the choice is entirely yours where you go and which surfaces you ride upon.
