Can you make leathers for the front part (not just the straps) of the toe clips to protect my leather italian shoes? It would be nice in all the colors you supply the saddles and grips etc. in. I have grips, the saddle, saddlebag, toestraps in honey so maybe you can start with selling that color... ;).
A large enough strip of leather would actually be enough although a precut and pre needled piece would even be nicer....espescially with some quality thread and a needle.
While we're at it, can I get 50% of the toe-clip-leather profits cause I send you the idea...
Pray to God that you don't have to make a warranty claim with Brookes. My toe straps shipped without a spring in the buckle....fatal flaw!
I've tried to contact Brookes 3 times on this issue and the silence has been deafening!
And there was I contemplating buying an expensive leather bag from Brookes until now....very disappointing especially as I thought I was a loyal customer having previously bought a saddle and handlebar grips.
A> Please make a warranty claim at the GETTING IN TOUCH section of the website and we are very sorry for your inconvenience!
Unless I've installed them incorrectly this is an awful buckle design and I wholeheartedly agree with the previous criticisms. If these comments are due to incorrect installation it is hardly surprising when you don't provide instructions with the product or on your website, despite promising to display images of them fitted to a pedal. Taking into account the cost of these straps you really need to sort this out...
I'm (as weird as it may sound) a 12-year old vintage bike enthusiast. I am thinking about a bike project for the summer. I've decided to use the clips and straps from brooks, but i cant find the clips on your website:/ so i wanted to know where they are or if you buy som stupid thought don't sell it anymore... Please reply!!!
A>The clips have been discontinued we're afraid.
Yes, I seem to have very similar problems with this product as the other customers. First the price of the product is really not understandable, considered the simplicity of the product and the little amount of leather. But I took them because I have a Brooks saddle, and the part of the pedals to take the straps are original old brooks. And now I don' t really understand how this strange system should function! In the end I succeeded to fix the straps someway but this is very far from a good solution. They efan don`t fit very well to my shoes and I have completely no idea how I could adapt them easily or even while riding the bike. Maybe I do understand something wrong, maybe you soon could give any hints on how to fix them at the pedals ideally with some photos - as any information on the package is missing and strangely there is not a single photo of your straps mounted to be found on the net.
