Team Pro Vans briefly in our Online Shop

Team Pro Vans briefly in our Online Shop
This is how things stand. Last year's collaborative project with Vans was a ride-away success. The limited edition of two thousand leather skateboard shoes produced under our joint auspices would appear to have already found close on one thousand pairs of feet to call 'home'. For our part, we are equally happy to report that nearly all of our limited edition of Team Pro Vans saddles have been bolted to seat posts, and are providing stylish riding comfort to those astute enough to have grabbed one while they were still available through our Dealers of Excellence.
As well-received as this edition of our numbered Team Pro saddle has been, and as tempting as it might be to continue making it, the plate we used to deboss the artwork into five hundred leather tops has been officially retired from active service, so sadly, we won't be making any more of them. This qualifies as bad news, for sure, but is a necessary part of what makes Special Editions special. However, given that yesterday's date is described in some quarters as "the worst day of the year" we thought it might serve to brighten the general mood by also announcing some good news on the 25th. Fortunately we have some. And not just good news, we have saddles, too. More specifically, Vans Team Pro saddles. Well, actually, that is the good news. We decided last year, when the line was hammered out in Smethwick to keep a few back. By few we mean a few. Not quite single digits, but certainly very low double digits. As of today, these last few can be found for sale our online shop. If you haven't browsed there before, be advised to set yourself a spending limit before clicking here. The shop is a treasure trove of commemorative saddles, and other limited runs of Brooks products, as well as being perhaps the only shop in the world, physical or virtual, where every currently available Brooks saddle, bag or other accessory can be found to buy.
Thank you for the compliments, the Select range should be in shops in March.

When a plate is "retired" where does it end up? In some sort of archive?
No chance of issuing the shoes again?

Good Question! This particular plate will be framed and prominently displayed upon a lucky wall of our main offices.

No chance with the shoes, I'm afraid. We often release limited editions; its very important to take us seriously, when they are gone, they are gone!
