Brooks At The 2012 London Nocturne
Photo Liz Seabrook Brooks was once again on board last weekend in London for the IG Markets Nocturne, an evening of street racing in the heart of the English capital. Around 12000 spectators gathered at Smithfield to witness racers vying with each other to take the top spot in a variety of categories.   Photo courtesy of Rob Powell at thecity The pros took part in the Elite Criterium, which was won this year by Team Sky's Ian Stannard, while local sundry Finance and P.R. houses were invited to enter teams in the City Criterium. Riders put out feelers for twenty minutes, then put the hammer down for five lactic laps. Overall team bragging rights went to Schroder's, while first individual over the line was Andrew Croker of Shift Active Media. New Zealander Gary McKinnel edged him out for a great win, in some of the hardest fought Highwheel laps seen since the last installment of the Knutsford Great Race.
