Part of an old Brooks Tradition

Flyer S Special
I’ve been riding on Selle Italia on both my carbon fibre BMC and my steel Colnago and have been quite happy with those saddles. In January this year I picked up a new Penny Farthing with a Brooks Flyer Special saddle fitted to it. I live 250 kms from the city where the Penny Farthing was delivered so I opted to ride it home. After two days on the new Brooks saddle I still felt great. I did a few more long rides then in February this year I completed the Classic Centrury (100 mile) ride in the Australian Penny Farthing Championships in Tasmania. After 10 hours in the saddle I still felt great. Could have done it again! I’m looking forward to seeing how the Team Pro saddle I've just ordered goes on my Colnago – will let you know.

Flyer S Special
After 22 years of using my Brooks saddle for offroad biking and every day use, I decided to get a new Flyer Special for my new hardtail MTB. As for me, there is no better comfort for short and long distance, even mountain biking. I can't imagine to cycle on any other seat. My old brooks saddle took years of intensive use with sun, rain and quite hard riding. Still comfortable and working. Makes some noises by now. It got old. I guess it would last a lifetime if it wasn't outside so often. Regularly applied wax.
