Cambium C17 Carved

Availability: In stock

Made in Italy

The C17 Carved is made from the same vulcanized natural rubber and organic cotton canvas as use for the C17, with an added cutout section to the top, which alleviates pressure in the perineal region experienced by some long distance cyclists, supporting comfort on longer rides. The additional flexibility absorbs bumps and vibrations from the road, functioning much in the way of a shock absorbing seat post.

Cambium C17 Carved
Had a Selle saddle on my road bike but for long distance it was to narrow and hard for longer rides so decided to try out the C17 Carved and was my bum happy! It absorbs the bumpy roads and no soreness after my longer rides and no break in period. Great saddle no matter what kind of riding you do.

Finally a saddle that's comfortable from the very beginning.

I was eager to try out the Brooks C17 carved on my weekend trip to Sweden for the Göteborg 600km PBP qualifier brevet, so no sooner had I fixed the saddle to my 80's steel De Rosa and we were off up the east coast of Denmark to Frederikshavn for the ferry to Sweden.

I'm amazed, I've never had a saddle that's this comfortable from the start and it was still just as comfortable when I got home four days later after riding 900km.

I have a regular C17 but the C17 Carved is a lot more flexible and absorbs shock from the road really well, which makes for a great long distance saddle. The cut out acts as an air vent too, so the saddle doesn't feel as hot as the regular C17 and I had no issues with the 6 hours of riding in the rain either.

Long may it last.

Just replaced my B17 (brown leather & brass) with this Cambium C17 carved. Not only is it more aesthetically pleasing but it is noticeably more comfortable for an upright riding position on my titanium Brompton. The chap in the shop was kind enough of switch it over for me, and sell me some matching handle-grips. Quality products, great customer service. The only downside is that I have a redundant B17!!

Cambium C17 Carved
This saddle is the most comfortable saddle I have yet owned, and I am very pleased with that. Unfortunately, I've owned this saddle for only 3 months and already one of the 4 pins on it fell off during a ride. I contacted Brooks via their web form about 7 days ago and have yet to receive any response. Still, I honestly do think that the comfort of the saddle makes up for the poor quality of construction (or assembly) and lack of customer service.
