Darren Crisp Titanium at B1866
Darren at work in his Italian studio The B1866 shop in Seven Dials, London has begun offering handmade frames direct in-house from some of the most respected names in the handmade bicycle world. Dario Pegoretti paid a visit in January and now Darren Crisp is set to arrive on 10 April, performing fittings for lucky customers who will not have to travel to Darren's Italian studio, but be measured and fitted right in the heart of London. Appointments will fill up fast,  so read more to learn the latest details. Collaboration with Dario Pegoretti, who *may* have been responsible for the paint Darren started making bicycles after completing his B.S. in Architecture at Texas A&M University, while racing on the weekends. A few years later, he ended up in the heart of Tuscany building high-end precision display and furnishing elements for premier Italian fashion houses worldwide, while still spending every available free moment on his bike. Through those experiences he learned the great value of craftsmanship, which, in Italy, is as highly a revered tradition as cycling. Throughout his career Darren has been committed to the rigorous development of conceptual ideas through their evolution to a well-executed final product, relying on his experience as an architect and designer, and a hands-on approach to fabrication. "Building bicycles is a natural undertaking for me. Having raced competitively in the United States and Italy, my skills building racing bicycles for road and off-road use are informed by my own experiences as well as the constant feedback from fellow cyclists."
