Many cycling jackets are designed to be “unisex”, which normally means they are designed for gentleman. We did not subscribe to this rule for the Criterion Jacket. Ladies with a passion for cycling also deserve a durable, eye-catching, and tasteful garment conceived for use by the Contemporary Cyclist, but without need for the tandem accessory of bicycle to make aesthetic sense; the Criterion Ladies’ was designed with this in mind.
Bearing the name of our founder John Boultbee –and carrying on the Brooks heritage – the Criterion is truly the finest jacket ever created for cycling.
Designed in London by Timothy Everest, a bespoke tailor and keen cyclist, this jacket challenges the convention that showerproof cycling apparel must disregard aesthetic considerations. The Criterion discreetly meets the demands of Contemporary Cyclists with reflective seams, a fold-out seat panel, concealed key pocket, stormproof flap pockets, twoway zippers, and a host of other features. It is made from Ventile cotton – a waterproof and windproof woven textile – and lined with a fine Tweed from the famed Fox Brothers mill.
